Our range of services are continuing to evolve in line with our client requirements. Most recently we have been offering COUPON REDEMPTION and FULFILMENT OF THE FREE GIFT. This service involves Direct Contract Packing receiving and storing the free gift items (eg. toys, cereal bowls, fridge magnets, recipe books – in bulk!), when specified numbers of coupons are sent in by the consumer, we will process their order, pack and dispatch the desired item (ie. Cereal bowl, fridge magnet, recipe book – you get the picture!).

This service will appeal to any company wishing to increase sales and reward their much valued repeat consumers. How about giving away a free Porsche, helicopter, yacht – I am happy to take delivery of the free gift pending receipt of the correct number of coupons!!

Recently we have been asked to pack products onto hanging displays or clip strips for retail. Supermarkets and retailers are requesting products be delivered already merchandised on clip strips to save self space and to induce impulse purchases. You will note as you are walking around the supermarkets that a wide variety of products from confectionery to pocket packs of tissues are displayed on hanging display units or clip strips.

Although hand assembled, our staff have become experts in attaching products to these very effective retail displays saving our clients production time and internal costs.

DCP can supply the clip strips and attach your product to the clip strips ready for retail. There should be a hanging display/clip strip to suit most small light weight products.

In response to demand from clients DCP has installed clean room facilities for safe handling and labelling of food product materials. Clients require flash labelling of soup/stew tubs and lids, application of flash labels such as ‘as seen on TV’ labels, competition labels to fridge/freezer pack materials, language translation labels, barcodes or legistlation updates.

Direct Contract packing can source and supply non peelable labels, receive the labels and stock and return finished materials to our clients for filling. We run a ‘just in time’ service which ensures our clients have the correct materials ready and in place just as they are required. Any over materials can be stored with Direct Contract Packing until required.

Our clean room facilities will also allow packing of some loose products such as tea bags for promotional trials ie. tea bag into leaflet sachet for postal sampling, food sample packs, food/confectoinery gift packs, loose tea, loose confectionery and other loose products. Direct Contract Packing has successfully completed our HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) programme for the safe handling of food products and materials. This programme enables DCP to identify and monitor critical control points within contract packing processes. This HACCP programme assures our clients of best practice when handling of their products and materials.

We are delighted to have successfully completed our ISO 9001:2008 Audit.  That takes DCP’s tally to 17 years of Quality contract packing.    The Audit took place on Thursday 6th May and was completed within the day – ash cloud was kind to our Auditor, Mr Graham, who had an early start from the UK.  All things went well in the end and we assume he got home safely (Martin perhaps you could drop us a line in case you are still at Belfast International!).

We are pleased to announce the purchase of a LP Packaging SFE600 machine which will enable DCP to sleeve and over wrap loose PET bottles, loose tetra packs etc.

This is something that was limited on our existing machine so the new machine will make us more efficient and cost effective on this type of pack. We will contact our existing and potential clients in due course which further details on possible new pack ideas / sub contracting possibilities for their companies.

DCP are pleased to announce an expansion into a second factory during March 2010.

This is a result of one of our clients expanding their business. DCP agreed to invest in the future of the business together and facilitate to move to new premises, new offices, canteen and staff. A big thank you to DCP staff who orchastrated the move which was completed within budget and on time.
